Now he has to use his wits and strength to survive in an unknown era.

The drama tracks the mind games played between the mafia kingpin Cheng Long-Kwan and Bureau’ chief Lau Sing.

The plot sets up during the 80s when the city of Nantong witnesses a natural calamity which destroys most of the rice fields of the area.

In a series of events, the city Mayor Hong Chi-wing and his family are sentenced to punishment for deceiving the locals but his daughter Hong Po-yin flees away and lives by the name of Hong Po-Kei under Prince Wai mansion.

The later part of the drama reveals how Hong Po-Yin manages to establish herself in the Wai using her business wisdom and persistence.

As the series progress, the battle between the two sides intensifies while the characters themselves unknowingly grow and develop as people, family members, and friends.

Gong Choi-king was a goldsmith who had to assign his daughter, Lau Sam-ho as a maid to the royal court because of bad luck encountered by the queen in one of his artifacts. The drama follows the story of Lau Sam-ho and her experience in the Imperial Palace.

Spiced up with the taste of love, fate, betrayal, and friendship this is a well balanced HK drama.

14. The legends of the Condor Heroes | 我不歸去

  • Logline: The political drama of the Mongolian empire, the Jin dynasty and the Song dynasty of China

Ghengis Khan was successful in invading half of the china with the help of Guo Jing. Guo Jing belongs to the Song Dynasty, so when Ghengis Khan decided to conquer the Song dynasty, he left Mongolia leaving behind his son Yang Guo. However, the invasion was stopped due to the sudden death of Ghengis khan.
