Skanda Movie Review & Story

Today I heard about a gripping film plot that had me on the edge of my seat just imagining the twists and turns. It starts with a business tycoon named Ramakrishna Raju, portrayed by Jagapati Babu, who finds himself confessing his crimes in a courtroom, leading to his sentence to jail. Despite this, his lawyer tirelessly appeals in higher courts, adding layers of drama.

Amidst this legal battle, in Andhra Pradesh, Rayudu, played by Ajay Purkar, is busy arranging his daughter’s marriage. However, turmoil unfolds as the son of Telangana’s CM, Ranjith Reddy (acted by Sharath Lohithaswa), elopes with the bride, igniting a fierce rift between the two Chief Ministers.

In a more everyday setting, Ram, a political science student, is often found teasing his classmate Sreeleela, who is none other than the daughter of the Telangana CM. As if the political tensions weren’t enough, the situation escalates when the Telangana CM narrowly escapes an assassination attempt, only to face another shock. Ram audaciously enters his house and abducts the daughters of both CMs.

The big question looms large: Who is Ram, and what motivates his audacious actions? This forms the crux of the rest of the story. The layers of political intrigue, love, betrayal, and mystery in this plot are just enthralling. Can’t wait to find out more about each character’s motives!

Is Skanda Hit or Flop?

Skanda received harsh criticism for its plot, political satires, directing, performances by the main cast, and action scenes when it was released on September 28, 2023, to mostly unfavorable reviews. Is Skanda a Pan India Movie?

Together, the dynamic actor Ram Pothineni and the well-known director Boyapati Sreenu have created a unique pan-Indian film called “Skanda,” which is a high-octane cinematic spectacle. As Ram Pothineni’s love interest, Sreeleela plays a crucial part that enhances the film’s charm.

Is Skanda Worth Watching?

Overall, Ram Pothineni has a strong performance in Skanda, which is an action-packed mass entertainment film with exciting action sequences and dances that are visually stunning. Fans and general audiences may love this high-octane entertainer, but others may not be as fond of its straightforward plot, nonsensical action scenes, and slow second part. You could watch this movie this weekend if you don’t mind these things.

What is Skanda Known for?

Shiva’s firstborn son was the Hindu god of war, Skanda. There are numerous legends explaining his birth, however they frequently contradict one another. The gods wished for Skanda to be born in order to slay the demon Taraka, who had been granted a blessing that could only be killed by a son of Shiva, as is the case in most accounts of the event and in Kalidasa’s epic poem Kumarasambhava.
